[Qur'an 59:7]

The aim of the seminar is to introduce the Hadith as:

  • a spiritual document,
  • a basis for social and cultural constructs,

  • a legal document for scholars of Islamic Jurisprudence

In this short yet highly informative course, Yahya Ibrahim introduces several aspects of THE SCIENCES OF HADITH.

The discussions shall cover the Classification of Hadith, Categorizing Hadith, the role of Hadith in Islamic Scholarship, relationship between Quran and Hadith, Hadith Qudsi and its implications, the derivation of rulings from Hadith, the Imams of Hadith science and Hadith in the modern era.
